So in love with copic...

I was asked by a fellow ATCer to draw her dog for a trade, so here they are. I'm really happy with the simple lines I drew for these, but that they retain the detail of the original photos.

This card was created for and ATC raffle. I love their expression! I hope the person who wins it enjoys.

Jewel series

Nigh named this my Jewel series as I put jewelled adornments on almost all of the cards. Really though its about me learning to use my copic markers now that I have the right nibs for them. I've got a brush nib that makes it incredible to use these markers. Shading and blending with them is a breeze, now I just need to build up my number of them in each colour range to have a better selection.

The images for these were drawn from "Hello Sunshine" Illustrations by Betsey Clark, which is an old book of little poems/prayers that my mother had. I think they're the sweetest. :D Let me know what you think!

The Angel Collection

I've joined a group for a monthly swap for which we have a theme we need to make ATCs around. This month is Angels and here is the series of 6 that I made for it. I will now post them to the group leader in Perth who will mix them up for all the participants and send 6 back to each of us. I have no idea what the cards will be like that I get back, so I hope they're good!

Oh BTW, I can't share them on Flickr because they're suppose to be a secret, so don't tell anyone. :)

Colour Pencils

I spent a late evening this week creating these two new ATC. I wanted to blend collage with drawing and thought the coloured pencils had a great effect.

Collage galore

Okay so I got a bit crazy with the collage tonight. Must have talked myself out of drawing mode, or maybe I was enjoying the fast gratification I get from collage. Which is ironic considering how long the closet one took!

It's really late now, I'm getting a lot less sleep with this hobby...but I love it too much to give it up in favour of sleep. Now I'm off to bed.

Let me know what you think!

The start of a drawing series

I've started drawing a lot of my cards, I like the personal touch of drawing them and I can create exactly what I want. I don't want to stop making collage ones, I love what I can see others doing, but I'm still learning that style. In the meantime these gave me a lot of satisfaction. Infact the Hippo was the first to garner a request to trade. *extremely happy*

I'd really like to do more tonight, but the energy just isn't there. Oh well there is always tomorrow.

Late night creations

I finished these new ATC last night. The first and last are open for trade if anyone is interested.

I really enjoyed drawing the second one, so I'm thinking about doing a series of drawings for my next set. I'm going away for the weekend to my parents farm, perhaps I'll find inspiration there.

This card was made for my partner who loves the sky and the wind, so I built him a castle.

These are my first ATCs. I've been making postcards for a few years, but have never worked on such a small canvas. If you're interested in trading for any of these please let me know.
